NON CADRANNO FOGLIE STASERA
Questo è il secondo cortometraggio diretto da Tarkovskij,
sempre assieme ad Aleksandr Gordon. Si tratta di un bianco nero che racconta di una città dove dei
lavoratori stradali scoprono delle bombe sotto l' asfalto nei pressi di una scuola. I tedeschi le hYears
lasciate durante la seconda guerra mondiale.
Il titolo originale del film ("Oggi non potremo lasciare le nostre posizioni...")
fa riferimento ad una frase pronunciata da un soldato
quando si accorge della gravità della situazione.

Il film per certi versi può essere collocato tra quelli della storiografia sovietica del dopoguerra e potrebbe essere senza dubbio posto fra le tante pellicole di propaganda visto che celebra l' eroismo di un manipolo di soldati alle prese con residuati bellici per di più abbandonati dal nemico nazista. Il film poi doveva essere trasmesso nel giorno dell' anniversario della capitolazione della Germania nazista. Se però guardiamo la pellicola con attenzione, non limitandoci alla vicenda possiamo scoprire elementi di grande cinema. La vicenda è narrata con ritmo e notevole tensione (basti pensare alla palpabile paura di una accidentale esplosione del deposito). I movimenti della macchina da presa sono già di uno studente che come si vedrà promette bene. Buoni anche la recitazione: vi compaiono nella prima parte Leonid Kuravlyov e Stas Liubshin, due attori famosi.
